Ken with his M1A, and a short summary

I think this rifle was my favorite, and what's not to love?
Twenty rounds of 308 goodness in a super accurate platform, plus...she was "perty".
This photo was taken during the prep time, when we could send some sighters to aquire a satisfactory "zero" before the timed and scored portion began. Your heart beats faster, you try to calm down and remember the fundamentals, two clicks up, and....Damn!, now where did that round go?
Then (if I remember correctly), after the sighters you shoot for score, first ten rounds standing in 10 minutes, then ten rounds sitting in 1 minute, then ten rounds prone in 70 seconds, then twenty rounds prone in twenty minutes. Between each of these you go score and return, all the while muttering to yourself how ya should have done better, cussing, and calling yourself names. It's great!
